Opening Credits

Hi guys,

I was a fan of your Westworld podcast and followed you here to the GoT podcast. Something I noticed during the S8 opening credits: The “sky” seems to be Essos (or at least land masses that are not just reflections of what’s below). Interesting, given the history of GoT, where the breaking of the Arm of Dorne (the bridge between Essos and Westeros) occurred around when Whitewalkers were formed. This might just be an aesthetic choice, but might mean something more. What it might mean, I have no clue.

Could it be connected with the comet falling from the “sky” in the new astrolathe design?

Thanks for your awesome work!
Anne
