Prosopagnosia

I wanted to bring up the fact that at the beginning of the season when we first saw Bernard leaking cortical fluid and run a diagnostic on himself, one of his reported errors was Prosopagnosia (the inability to recognize faces). When he is in the cradle with “Elsie”, the closed-captioning shows that Charlotte is speaking…maybe Bernard isn’t recognizing her face appropriately and he’s actually with Charlotte, not Elsie.

Even when he and “Elsie” are walking around Westworld together before getting to the cradle, she looks a little different…hair looks to be neat and styled, clothes clean, neat and fitted. Her overall appearance looks more styled, like Charlotte. It’s just not Charlotte’s face.

I haven’t re-watched any earlier episodes yet, but I’m interested in seeing these scenes again through this possible lens.
