S02e02 – Reunion

Hi Guys,

Just got round to listening to the Deep Dive episode – been stuck in a decorating loop for the past week…

I really do like Big D’s theory regarding Arnold. It would (and does) make complete sense. Not least of all because it is the kind of thing that I think the show runners would have planned from the start.

It Would mean that every interaction that a host has with Arnold would essentially be some kind of virtual reality, but given the processing power that would be required to build the Hosts in the first place; it is an almoat certainty that they have it.

I’d also suggest that the AI Arnold is the “weapon” that Dolores and MIB are heading towards. Some kind of armoured bunker, perhaps…

And finally…

I did find it very funny when the original company was introduced as “Argos”. Although this is almost certainly because they are keeping with the Greek theme; what make me laugh is that Argos is the name of a chain store in the UK and Ireland:

They specialise in a type is shop that is essentially a front to a warehouse. Most things are cheaper in Argos that other high street shops – think along the lines of a physical pre-cursor to Amazon et al.
