Hi guys (again….not sure my emails reach you) from England!!

Great show guys, I’ve listened to every podcast on Westworld you guys have done from the start.

A few thoughts on S2 E1 (only seen it once so far so I may be a bit off with some of these)

Mauve – not sure which timeline we are seeing here….immediately after Ford’s death and the massacre or a few days later. She seems at a loss to who is responsible for all the dead bodies but she says she shares their ideals or something. We then later see Hector in the white overalls covered in blood, from his battles with the initial response team so it leans towards it being very shortly after. Mauve is now the Ford of the park with complete control of the hosts if she wishes. She also seems driven by a personal goal of love for her daughter. This is a counterpoint of Dolores who has revolution on her mind (s). I think at some point those two are going to be on opposites sides of an ideological fence.

Dolores – The opening scene with Arnold. Do you think they are throwing us a curve ball there and what we are seeing is more current/future? I know it is shit as Arnold interviewing Dolores but maybe it’s Dolores interviewing Arnold??

When Angela says “we’ve found it” I think they are referring to the opening to the mesa complex or whatever they call it. Which brings me back to the massacre that Mauve knows nothing about. I think it may have been Dolores and co. She says she has to show something to Teddy. Basically she needs to “wake” him up. In fact she is going to have to wake up all the potentially sentient hosts (I believe last season they said 10% has the reverie coding??) Maybe the mass drowning we see at the end is all the 10%ers, looked like Teddy was one in the water. I think Dolores and Bernard have hatched some plot to resurrect them all and bring them to consciousness somehow. Death + cognitive dissonance = consciousness??

Bernard and Hales

When they get to the secret bunker and Charlotte logs on the computer it states no help is coming until the package is safe. Given we see the said help earlier in the episode I assume Delos does end up with Abernathy.

Looks like Bernard got a pretty temporary fix to his…..er brain juice problem but on the beach he looks kinda fine albeit with memory problems. I think between the bunker and the beach he is going to get fixed, maybe by Mauve.

William – Only thing jumping out of me here is whether the actor playing the young robo-ford is the same actor from last season, looks totally different. William has another quest, he’ll be happy!

Ok I’ve rambled on far to long! Keep up the good work guys and im pretty sure it’s ShoganWorld not Samurai World 😉

You are no doubt correct about this. Only thing that makes me unsure is the timing.

In episode 2 we see the released guy enter the lab. He is followed almost immediately by Dolores n co.

In episode 1 I feel like quite a bit of time has passed since he was released and Angela says “we’ve found it”

I think “it” maybe the weapon/Williams biggest mistake

I think “we’ve found it” refers to the entrance to Sector 19. I believe Angela allowed one human to escape so she could track him and find an entrance to a Delos’ service entrance.

    Clever girl.
