Shogun World’s Maze

Hey guys! Hope you’re enjoying your day.

As I was watching the fifth episode of the show last night, there was a scene that really got me thinking. At this point I’m not really sure if the maze was something exclusive to westworld hosts or not, but in the last night’s episode there is a scene when Hector sees a butterfly marking on the ground and Armistice then says that it’s a “Mariposa”. Given the fact that the Ghost Nation knew about the maze and also had some paintings and drawings of it, could this butterfly actually be the Shogun world’s version of the maze? Maybe those 4 stones placed on 4 parts of the wings are representing the 4 steps of consciousness as Ford stated and interestingly enough they are also represented in a circular manner, a maze, a journey inward. Now I know the whole butterfly and cocoon metaphor has been overly used almost everywhere, but I still wanted to know what you guys think about it.

Another thing that came to my mind after listening to the deep dive and the possibility of body swaps before leaving the park was, could this secret facility actually be where Delos has been making host bodies of the park’s guests? If Delos was planning something like the movie, these hosts probably won’t have the explosive charge inside them and this makes them the perfect case for body swapping because I dont see Dolores and her crew simply changing their clothes, sitting on the train and leave the park, if that white modern train is still working at that time anyway.

Thank you guys for your great podcast, and thank you for making it possible to live in westworld for the whole week with 3 releases and great content. Keep up the magnificent work!
