Should Samwell Have Left the Citadel?

You guys didn’t talk about Sam!!!

So do you think it was a good move for Sam to leave the Citadel?

I feel like he could have done Jon and the world of Westeros a better service by sneaking around, finding information and sending it to Jon by raven.

It showed once a few episodes back when he sent word of the secret dragon glass mine near Dragonstone.

I mean he basically grabbed all he could carry and left. I just feel he left a lot of useful knowledge behind, which might even include Jon’s legitimacy.

The way he was talking to Gilly about High Septon Maynard’s memoirs made it seem like he wouldn’t have brought that book along because he found it useless.

I know us the viewers got some major insight that pretty much seals the deal on Jons legitimacy, but unless you have documentation, I think it would be hard convincing people he’s the rightful heir…
