Hey guys,Not gonna lie I was feenin’ 4 this deep dive, after such a great ep, and had some harsh words 4 u guys when it wasn’t available on Tuesday, but u r forgiven!! This ep was so emotional 4 me!First I was angry that Ruby got transformed into a white woman, but after that first convo she had with William, about how the ppl were scared for her and not of her, man! I felt like okay this will b a real learning experience. And boy was it ever. I was elated that Montrose got his ass beat!! Then immediately burst into tears when Tic said ‘please don’t b scared of me’ ?? I agree with u gene it felt like a statement to the world rgt now. Hit me so hard I had 2 pause the ep and have a talk with my partner about how our anger as black ppl is all some ppl can see, when its really a mask 4 deeper emotions I felt joy watching Montrose(and seeing Shangela) during the Ball scene. I could actually feel the weight being lifted. That was so powerful reminded me of coming out and how I felt so much more alive in my own skin. That was amazing!! I felt vindicated when Ruby raped Paul?Like i feel like it represented the fact that some ppl will only understand another perspective until they experience the same exact thing. Was is wrong, maybe, but a chit chat about work place sexual harassment was gonna do the trick in this case. And I luved the song choice! As always u guys never disappoint in thought provoking, insightful discussions and I truly luv u guys 4 that Keep up the great work, and i gotta stop being such and old lady and try and catch on of those Shappy hours.
