Hey Guys,

So I don’t know if this classes as theory, but I found some connections that are similar to an old story. That I’m sending to you before episode 3 airs ,first the plot points from Westworld.

1: Arnold kills him self by assisted suicide , with the premise of protecting the original hosts from the hell of reliving their loops.Delores pulls the trigger ,I assume with the same revolver she kills Ford with.

2: Along period of time passes without incident, the original hosts are mixed with new hosts. The only host known to us in the park is Delores.

3: Ford invites the Delos board members to the unveiling of his new narrative, Journey into the night . They feel safe as no guests have been injured in 30 years.

4: Delores with the help of the hosts attacks and kills many board members. William is injured an escapes.

5: Delores hunts down any fleeing Delos board members and some hosts , possibly not original hosts. Both William and Delores seem to be heading for the same destination.

My idea is that this narrative could be have been inspired by the classic Japanese tale of the 47 Ronin

1: The Japanese Lord performs seppuku in order to save his retainers from death.

2: The 47 of the Lord’s samurai swear vengeance on the man (Kira) that caused their lord to take his life. They become ronin masterless samurai.

3: The ronin go in hiding wait for a time when they can seek revenge on Kira except the leader of the ronin. The leader who is spied upon by Kira , pretends to be drunk and womaniser to fool Kira into letting his guard down.

4: The 47 ronin make a secret plan to raid Kiras castle and kill him. They attack the castle killing many of Kiras guards but he escapes.

5: The Ronin track down Kira who disguised himself as a peasant, but identify him by a wound they lord inflicted on his head.

6: Leader of Ronin offer Kira chance to take his own life with their Lords sword. Kira declines and he is executed.

Noteworthy Japanese suicides :
Masaharu Nonaka commits Hara-Kiri over corporate restructuring in 1999. Yukio Mishima (author)commits Hara-Kiri in 1970 , theorised to immortalise he books.

Prediction: Delores with tracks down William, confronts him and asks him to commit suicide with revolver she killed Arnold and Ford. William declines and she pulls the trigger. – Thunder Clap
