Hey Guys,

Here’s what I took from the post credits scene in westworld.

The short of it, the hosts have dominated the planet and are in panic mode for their own survival.

If William is not in a simulation and the park has been revived to run this physical fidelity test over and over. That means the hosts either no longer have a concern for all host-lives mattering and are throwing older models in a psychotic, but regulated, lab-rat maze to get test results, or they are at the end of their rope and need to find out if the “irredeemable” can be redeemed. Let’s assume William’s fidelity simulation starts with his day 1 in the park, goes all the way through the escalante massacre, and ends with the door to the forge. That’s countless numbers of hosts being shot, mutilated, and repaired time and time again in an effort to find out what makes this one guy tick, the hosts in this cycle are trapped in the same prison-like loop that dolores fought to erase.

In the computer simulations, they could run millions of tests on every human and boil it down to basic code, but why would they be exhausting resources doing this over and over again? I would assume it is to find out if the one catalyst in the data (man in black) has information they need to keep them from consuming themselves as a species and ultimately coming back to uncovering a deeper understating of humanity after discarding it as too simple and predictable however many centuries ago. It sounds a little crazy, but it would also make a good 5 season story arc!

Thanks!
