The Reveal Of Jon’s Secret And Sansa’s Intentions

Just want to write in and say yes Jon was probably dumb to reveal to Sansa and Arya his parentage but at the same time, it fits his character. He’s being honest in that he holds his family in higher regard with this secret. Therefore it’s not a surprise. But the intention of Sansa revealing the information was not to to hurt him. I think most importantly it was provide insurance for Jon. If that information was to leak and become public knowledge, Dany wouldn’t be able to kill Jon. Otherwise I’d imagine as Varys says the remaining lords would rally for Jon likely. Moreover if Sansa wouldn’t do it to hurt Jon because Jon represents tangible course for Northern independence. With Jon on the throne, the North can be free.
