The Season Was Actually Shown Chronologically

Season 2 of WESTWORLD was actually shown in chronological order, the only exception being the Bernard scenes. We saw Bernard scenes through his eyes, the way he remembered them after scrambling his brain to avoid Carl Strand figuring out what he knew. When the season begins he remembers nothing, because Strand has just found him. As time goes on, we see the way his mind reconstructed the scramble.

Many people have complained that the show, scrambled the timeline for no reason. I think there was a method to the madness. Also, in episode 9, we see the book Slaughter House Five. A famous line from that book is, “Billy has become unstuck in time.” Gene, I know you hate this, but Billy = Bernard.
