Hey Guys,

@20:51 You discuss “Timshel” (Thou Mayest) I think the writers most likely are referencing John Steinbeck’s use of Timshel as a major theme in East of Eden. Adam, the father of Cal and Aaron (Cain and Abel) in the book, uses the meaning of Timshel to help the rebellious Cal see that he is not destined to choose an evil path but has ‘Free Will’ to choose goodness….so I think Ford is trying to help Bernard see he has free will and can chose his path and is not destined to follow a programed future. Also another literary note in the episode was that Williams profile was hidden in Kurt Vonegut’s Slaughterhouse Five….can you address both these things in the deep dive……Thank you?

(left this in a Youtube comment but wasn’t sure of the best way to get your attention so I emailed it too ??)
