True Detective Season 2 Is Fantastic

I got hooked on “True Detective” five minutes in of season 1 and been a hardcore “TD” fan of the show. What attracts me to shows like “TD” is the higher quality of storytelling and not officially plot-driven. I would put “TD” on the level of Stanley Kubrick & Oliver Stone material.

It’s nice that there’s a podcast to your favorite TV shows, and hear there are people that feel the same about a TV show. But, first I have to come clean and tell you guys I LOVE “TD season 2”. Yes, “TD 2” is the best thing since the finale of “LOST”, not only I loved “TD2” that much since nobody like season 2 I think Nic Pizzolatto personally made season 2 just for me. I loved every character, storyline, every episode and the tone of the show. “TD2” had BALLS and said Fuck You to commercial TV audiences. For once there’s a show out there that don’t spoon-feeds its audience on how they tell it’s story. I am baffled on how “TD 2” has been received. I’ll put it in a Star Wars analogy “TD2” is the Empire Strikes Back. Even that said I can’t understand how “TD2” got so much shit, it isn’t like season 1 was The Dark Knight and season 2 was Batman & Robin. If you think that, I’m done with ya’ll.
