Long time listener since the beginning of the podcast. If I’m not mistaken this is my first time writing in. But I couldn’t help myself once I listened to the deep dive this week and you talked about how Greyworm settled for just sending Jon to the Watch.
It stirred up an idea for me of how they could have handled this and made it more powerful and left a nice cliffhanger at least in my opinion.
So Greyworm refuses anything less than a public execution of Jon Snow. And they are forced to agree to this. Cut to sad goodbyes from Jon’s loved ones. Greyworm cuts Jon’s throat.
Sansa then has Jon’s body transported to Winterfell to have a be burned (because that is what Jon would want.) As the fire burns around Jon and everyone walks back into the gates of Winterfell the camera zooms into Jon from above just as it did at the beginning of Season 6. The fire doesn’t seem to be phasing Jon’s skin, and then he gasps and opens his eyes (again just as he did in Season 6.) Cut to credits.
Thanks for all the great episodes, and thank you for providing somewhere for this GoT fan to turn to each week.
