Hi ShatOnTV Hosts,

Thanks for the instacast after S2E4 “The Riddle of the Sphinx.” Big D, I know it wasn’t your preferred use of your time but you did a great job nonetheless.

Responding to your two questions:

Q: Who’s control unit did Bernie print?
A: I bet the control unit that Bernard printed is for Old William /Man In Black and will be used as a final test. Either this could be Juliet’s reincarnation, or it could be immortality for Emily or a cloned William. In any of these situations, the Man In Black will have gone back to where Young William’s journey began and believe that people are essentially good and worth redemption.

Q: Is this a race (or a chocolate factory tour) Ford established for the future of Westworld and who’s winner takes the reins and responsibility for the park/island inhabitants future? A: No, there will be no coronation and Ford’s intent was for one player. Ford (via Bobby-bot) told William that this game was designed for the Man In Black. To further validate that claim, another thing Bobby-Bot told William has become true- that the game would find [William]. I believe that Emily/Grace’s ride from the sunset (typically the end of a western) to find the Man In Black is the game Bobby-Bot was talking about. William’s observation about the train track direction might have nothing to do with Ford, it may be a misdirect by the writers. I point to the fact that the Chinese workers are using the White people as railroad ties in what appears to be an act of liberation and retribution. Did you notice that the Chinese foreman is wearing the Conductor’s hat and pocket watch?, that appears to me to signal the workers may have come to realize their oppression and did the only thing that their programming knew about (using the construction tools and techniques) to turn against their masters. Back to your question, there are other players but not all are actually contenders and even then no one is in it for the thrown. William doesn’t want control this place, he wants to burn it to the ground. This game is, like the maze, another inward journey to find a new level of existence.

Thanks again and keep up the excellent work!
