Hey Guys,

First time writing into the podcast. I want to thank you all for the work you put into the podcast. My brother and I love your podcasts, it always inevitably pops up in our conversations. I wanted to talk a little about Teddy and the flood we see in the show. We know that Teddy’s last name is Flood and we come to find Teddy drowned in a flood in the park. I know this was pretty obvious but I was wondering if Teddy’s last name is just coincidence or was his fate planned from the beginning? Also with the prevalent theme of cognitive dissonance in the show, this flood reminded me of one of the first published cases of cognitive dissonance. Where a cult group believed a flying saucer would come rescue the true believers from a great flood that would end the world. The followers had left jobs and given away all material possessions in preparation for their departure. After there was no flood the most dedicated members had interpreted that they were saved from the flood because of their faithfulness to the cult. I thought this was interesting could possibly be a nod to this. Would love to hear your thoughts.
