Westworld Theory About Maeve Vs William

Hello crew,

After this latest episode, I think Maeve’s free will is superficial. Last season, we learned that many of her settings were changed by high level administrators (likely Ford) and Felix told Maeve that all her actions including her attempt to leave the park were scripted. The constant flashbacks and reminders about her daughter are used by Ford to guide her. I think the reason she obtained Ford’s “God Mode” is likely because he has less control in that part of the park and need her to reach her objective. And wherever she finds her daughter, William will be there.

We often heard Ford (through bots) tell William the game “ends where you began” and “If you’re looking forward, you’re looking in the wrong direction” and I now believe it has to do with William’s journey as a black hat. In season one, he said he discovered the maze after he killed Maeve’s daughter and that’s where he started the game. We always assumed it started with Dolores. But in reality Maeve was the first host to show William that something real was hidden in the park. And has both never really interacted after, it will be an epic confrontation.

What do you guys think?

Continue the great work.
