What Does Delos Want From Westworld?

Gents,

I hope I was the Nick B that got the shout out in the last podcast. Regardless if it was me or not, I almost fell out of my seat when I heard you all say it.

I think it will be great to hear from you and the rest of the telegraph community on a frequent/monthly basis, and I am pumped because you guys are the only social media/blogosphere I tap into for WestWorld theory.

With that in mind, I have gone back and watched the finale and I am preparing to send you a few theories I have put together that might solve WestWorld up to this point. They are kind of grand and a little out there, but I have really been analyzing the details, and I think I might have something. Here are the theories I plan on sending you guys:

Ford’s contribution/IP that Delos wants involves Predictive Analytics. No one cares about sex bots. Everyone wants to be able to predict the future.

Ford has been playing the long game waiting till the right time when William would be in control of The Board. The death of William’s wife played a huge role in the timing. (I sent the iPhone version of this in a previous email, but there is much much more to this)

Ford wants to tell stories by understanding and controlling every detail of the world. By doing so, he created the value of the park by being able to accurately forecast human and host actions. (This might get wrapped up in the first topic, we will see)

So, those are the grand paintings I have tumbling around in my head and I plan on getting them down on paper and to you guys this week. The last email was me writing on my iPhone on a whim, much like now, without putting more structure or thought into it. I hope the ideas hold up as much on paper as they do in my head. And I really hope they make the Telegraph so we can see how they hold up in the community.

I am glad you guys are out there, and I hope my future thoughts being comfort to some of your concerns. For instance, I can explain why everyone keeps telling William he owns he park. It is not because of bad writing. I assure you.
