What Has Been All The Fuss About Magic

Love the podcast, I crave content all week and you guys are the best out there. I’d like to get your thoughts on a few things…
1) The Night King approached Bran, and he didn’t just look at him; the two of them had *a moment.* Was there some type of greenseer communication there? Were they just sizing each other up? Was Bran holding his attention so Arya could move in? It just felt to me like there was something there, and I fear the show doesn’t dive into that moment further so I’m curious what your interpretations were.
2) On a related note, seriously; what the hell was Bran doing all along? Did he really just warg into some crows and fly around the whole time? I don’t know what I expect him to do from his wheelchair, but certainly there’s something more to be doing than..watching? If he was doing something productive in this time that we aren’t aware of yet, what do you think that might be?
3) Melisandre has known for a long time she would die in this battle. It was her calling, yadda yadda. But…she lived through it. Why did she have to die? Are we to just assume she knew her purpose, served it, and then was ready for her nap? Again, with Mel and Beric both gone, I fear the show doesn’t explore the Lord of Light much anymore, so I’m curious to your interpretation.
4) With a potential end of the Lord of the Light subplot, as well as the end of the White Walkers, what has been all the fuss about magic? There was a lot of foreshadowing and significance placed on the walkers, and they’re now gone without — in my opinion — a satisfying deeper explanation of their origins and motivations. The same can be said about the Lord of Light. These subplots feel largely concluded yet unexplained. Does that bother you as much as it does me? After all, the SHOW is called “Game of Thrones.” Is it my own fault for expecting too much from what — like it or not — we could basically call “The *Other* War?”
4b) I have a possible…conspiratorial answer to my own question. Do you think it’s possible that at some point it became clear the GoT prequel would explore the origins of the NK, so this show decided to hold some secrets for that one? I don’t like it, but it’s something that crossed my mind.
It was a thrilling episode but as it sinks in more…it was cinematically thrilling, but quite frankly that distracted me from some disappointments in the actual storytelling. Thanks for your time, can’t wait to hear you guys.
