Christina Holds The Key

Dear Hosts,

I think Christina is simply what’s left of prime Delores put into a simulation by Hale in hopes of finding the forge / sublime.

I have a hunch that we actually see Hale and William place her into the simulation when they put that pearl into that “mannequin looking deal” in one of the trailers that came out before the season. Looks like it takes place in the tower. But I digress…

Since Dolores died connected to rehoboam I think she has a piece of its code embedded in what’s left of her which is why she is writing stories that seemingly come true and why when her boss calls her there are so many “narrative stats” for her on his screen. More broadly speaking though storytelling is her whole core drive in the sim. Maya even says that she only goes to work and comes back to the apartment. (Also, isn’t it odd how maya and her boss interact with her? It seems like it’s always in a prodding manner as if trying to coax something out of her.)

Christina finds herself trying to tell this story about a girl who is searching for something and towards the end of episode 1 she even says she is trying to write a story with a happy ending/ happiness. Deep down in her programming her happy ending was/is Teddy and I think once she starts to interact with him in the simulation it will give away the location of the forge/sublime since that is where he really is which in turns brings us to that opening scene of episode one at the hoover dam.

Hale and Co. will extract the location from her but won’t be able to figure out where the key is so they just buy/ take the hoover dam site to secure it until they can get the key. (Perhaps that is why william was searching for Maeve because they think she is the next logical person to have it?)

I think Peter and all of the other oddities are remnants of her memories coming through and melding with her storytelling objective. For instance Peter’s story sounds similar to William’s when you think about it and he is becoming aware of what is happening to him in a similar fashion to how Dolores started to become conscious in season 1. I think dolores latches onto it because it is the first thing that obviously points to something being objectively wrong with the world she in. While ultimately I am sure something of substance will come from Peter’s story I don’t think anything of real consquence will happen in Christina’s story until she interacts with Teddy. I think they will get the location of the forge/sublime from her but inadvertently it will restore her memories and bring her back to life.

I think Dolores is the Maeve in black we see I that trailer I mentioned aboved. There is shot where there is Maeve in black with a knife walking towards a hale in a red dress. I think she will hijack the simulation in a similar way to what Maeve did in season 3. I know dolores doesn’t have that capability in her original build but I think it will be the rehoboam in her that achieves this.

Am I 100% right? Perhaps not, but the theory has merit to some degree based on what William said he episode one. Im paraphrasing here but someone stole something from him and placed it in the hoover dam data center. He doesn’t have the encryption key so he can’t access but he wants to secure it. How does he ever get to this point without going through dolores? Who else knew where she sent the forge in season 2? As I remember it’s only her. Bernard only accesses it though the case she left for him.
