A Few Thoughts, I Could Not Get In Before Sunday

Guys,

Most of these thoughts are from before Episode 5. This first thought is after. As per usual, this thought was inspired from one of your pods, specifically the 205 Instacast. Maeve’s new voice. I’m thinking Maeve may be able to tap into the Mesh Network somehow. If so, I feel this would explain, how she can control hosts without speaking. Continuing along this line of thought, perhaps the Ninja who feels Maeve is a witch, feels this way because, he heard or sensed Maeve force his fellow assassin to kill himself, as well as saw it.

In Season 2, Episode 4 we’re introduced to Delos’ goldfish bowl. In many of the scenes with William and Delos in them, some of the sounds and music felt familiar. I finally placed them. Some of the sounds and music seem to be from Halo: Combat Evolved. Revolutionary video game title. Perfected the multiplayer FPS on consoles. The door in Delos’ goldfish bowl makes the exact same sound, as the doors on the alien ships in Halo. A lot of the music in these scenes, seems similar to the music in Halo as well.

I recently feel I have acquired a better understanding of the way the simmunitions work. I feel it makes sense with how we sometimes see the munitions have differing effects, within the same timeframe. When William first enters Westworld, Angela is asking him questions to make sure, they don’t give him anything he can’t handle. I think the effects of the simmunitions are variable. Like a difficulty setting in a video game. William seems to indicate to Angela that, he can handle whatever. Ok buddy, hardest difficulty for you. And, that first time you get shot, you might get blown off your feet. But, you’ll live. It would make sense that William would like and appreciate this at first. But, after 30 years, let’s turn that down. It hurts. Maybe to 0. This 0 setting would be how we see the bullets Teddy fires, affect MiB in the very first episode.

Lastly, on the Telegraph the subject of machine learning was mentioned. Gene applied this to autonomous driving technology. This is not intended to be an “um… actually.” This is just right in my wheelhouse, guys. Toyota is always at the forefront of vehicle safety technology. I get trained, a minimum of 12 hours per year, by a Toyota representative, on the future of the product. While there’s definitely machine learning involved in autonomous driving technology, the future, I feel could be more closely related to the mesh network. Toyota has started putting “DCMs” in their vehicles. DCM is an acronym for Data Communication Module. From what I understand, vehicles that are equipped with these DCMs, in the future, will be able to communicate with one another. This way, we won’t have to rely solely on machine learning. My vehicle will be prepared to stop. Because, the car directly in front it, told my car it was going to stop, an instant before it began to do so.

All the best,

Wes D.
