A Theory On The Separation Between Dalos And The Park

I will break this email down to two separate parts. The first is where I get all Fanboy and the Second being my thoughts on the Westworld show.

First part: I love all four of you, and I look forward to a show with all of you on at the same time.

I found out about your podcast half way through the first season of Westworld and wished I found it sooner, it helped me through American Gods, for pointing out things I would have missed on watching on my own. I receive you loud and clear, even all the way over here, in Perth, Western Australia. I love having you in the back ground as I do my thing at work, and what ever else, just the sound of your voices, the flow of our conversation – let that be shat on tv or at the movies – soothes me.

Second part.

There was a point where the Park (Essentially Dr Ford and those who realise the real world need of a supply of income. If they received no income = they have no way having paying wages, purchasing equipment, even paying for electrical power) needed investors and the money the investors bought in. Kind of like a start up. There was that reference back to “what happened 30 years ago”, which may have left the Park with a bad credit rating, left investors cold, and no one interested in making the investment.

Along comes the Dalos, cheques are signed, debts paid, the Park gets up and running, now is profitable, and profitable to pay back the debt to Dalos, with some interest.

The Park has paid back what they owe to Dalos, and Dalos still think they have a controlling interest, while the Park thinks “We appreciate what you have done for us, which we will be discreet about your projects with in our facilities, but you have no controlling factor over us any more….”.

So, the conversation between the MiB William and Dr Ford in episode nine is showing that Dalos had invested a great deal of money and facilities to the project, the Park has paid in back in full and no longer feels obligated to pay back favours.
