Abernathy Is Arnold

Hey Guys,

I am at the 1:06 mark in Epusode 44. Have loved your podcast from the start, had an email read on one of your first episodes before the really talented folks joined in and blew my JV id3as our of the crater. I don’t do Reddit, never have, nor Vanity Fair, etc. You are IT.

Ok, here goes my theory, which at the moment seems the most simple and most devastating possibility. Abernathy is not Mr. Delos, he is Arnold, and here’s why:

When Abernathy saw the photo and glitched out he said “These violent delights…”” which was the command line Arnold gave Dolores to kill him and every host in the park.Mr. Delis would not know this.

Abernathy’s first host character, his former build, was the Professor, whose storyline was The Dinner Party. His last rant was angry and vengeful, which seems a believable way for Arnold to feel about what has become of his beloved Hosts, and Westworld, at the hands of Ford and William.

We now know that Delis bought into Westworld while Arnold was alive. .We also know Arnold committed suicide right before the park was to open, so i think that the incident happened very shortly after the night of the pitch party. Who uploaded Arnold into a host? Ford, to try and save his friend? Dolores, as part of a long term plan hatched with Arnold? Arnold himself, so he could continue his work in secret?

We know Arnold has been programming hosts and interacting.with them. We know that some hosts went insane hearing voices, we know Dolores has massacred the hosts many, many, times. We have been told expressly that Arnold changed Mave’s storyline and that of the] stray.

Ford, after losing the real Arnold, does try to recreate his Master Craftsman as a host… bu it takes him 30 years of loops to get this far.

Also, William.. He enters the park after the incident. Logan never paid attention to anything but the Amusement Park side of the operation, but William sees the potential for consciousness as he falls in love with Dolores.

.At the coronation William looks at Dolores with a lovestruck look, like he still believes she is different. But after a few years he is disappointed in her being just a thing, not even a thing, a reflection. And at that point he decides, like Arnold before him, to destroy all the Hosts, and make 6 parks. He makes the mistake of showing Dolores everything.

All the time Arnold has been in the Professor Host. William destroys Westworld out of bitterness and anger over the folly of chasing false hope. He had given up in “real humans” but now instead of quiet and closed he is truly detached from everythung but himself. That selfish prick is now fully the Man in Black. How does he kill all the Hosts? With a Civil War General named Wyatt. After which He is such an S.O.B. that he condemns Arnold and Dolores to a repeating nightmare loop of Greek Mythological status.

So, back to Abernathy. When Arnold/Abernathy sees the photo he remembers the Delos Family and does vwhat he did to stop the park from opening: : These violent delights have violent ends.
