American Gods Episode 5 Is Where People Should “Get It”

Greeting Fellas,

A great episode down. American Gods Episode 5 is wherepeople will “get it”. If you still have questions about Neil Gaiman’s world after this episode then (IMHO) you’re just not paying attention. The Shadow and Laura conversation was awesome. In the book, I don’t think Laura was as emotional as she portrayed on the show. She answers Shadow’s questions about why she cheated and what happened when she died but she was more matter of fact not emotional.

Laura vs Mad Sweeney

Great back and forth between those two. This scene was not in the book but it gives Sweeney a lot more context about the coin. The book never explains that Sweeney can’t take the coin, it has to be given to him. That puts a lot of things in perspective!

Wednesday vs Mr World

This is the scene that brings Gaiman’s world together! This scene is not in the book but I think it is necessary for the show viewers. This perfectly portrayed the plot of this show. Mr World doesn’t appear too often in the book but he is talked about enough to know he is important.
