American Gods Head Full Of Snow

Hey Guys,

I enjoy your podcast and have been listening since Westworld, but had to skip out on Taboo because it just wasn’t for me but am so glad your back and American Gods is killing it. You guys have great personality dynamics that makes listening great because of the different opinions and being a show watcher only I really enjoy Big D’s perspective. So far the show has been great and I love the artistic style even though it can get carried away sometimes. This last episode blew my mind and couldn’t believe that this show is on cable how it pushes the envelope with the gore and especially the male nudity. Male nudity is something that growing up was viewed as much more hardcore than female nudity but I never really understood that and even kinda engraved a sense of shame or unattractiveness. That brings me to this last episode where the Djinn has the sex scene with the salesmen.

It was one of the first time I saw a gay sex scene that was more intimate sex and not inmate sex which I found refreshing for some odd reason. My question is after listening to you guys on the deep dive and you not talking about the symbolism of the fire ejaculation I want to know if there was any significance to that? It seem like the Djinn was doing more than just cumming but filling the salesmen ( I forget the name) with himself and either sharing power or taking his somehow. When he wakes up in the morning he seems different and I didn’t really know what was going on there. Did the Djinn take over his body? This would not make sense because we see him talking to Wednesday later in time. Did they become one person? Did the Djinn share some of his power making them both Djinn? I am confused and would love to hear your opinion on that because it seems that ritual is a common thing in this show and this kinda felt ritualistic. Love the show and keep up the great work.
