Hi there!

This is Megan from FL. Just rewatching the first 3 episodes of season 2 and I noticed something in the recap of season 1. It shows a conversation with The Man in Black and Ford. Ford says “if you are looking for the moral for he story, quite simply ask.” MIB says “Id need a shovel. The man I’d be asking died 35 years ago.”

I also remember Ford explaining the history of the park. Before the park opened Arnold basically lived in the park for years as they were fine tuning. He began to relate more to the hosts than humans. That time frame is when Arnold had all of his conversations with Delores. For says the initial massacre where Delores kills everyone under Arnold’s command nearly shut them down. But there was an investor. This is still before the park opened.

Here is my theory.
1. Arnold was a real person but became a recluse living in the park. No one really knew him. They knew his name but hadn’t met him. 2. Arnold/Ford set up the demo with Logan for initial investment. This is still prior to the park opening and the incident. Logan is sold. 3. Arnold incident happens but Logan/Delos still invests.
4. A few years later park is up and running and then Logan and William go to the park. In fact, I remember in the first scene in the park with them Logan mentions having stake in the park. 5. William smears Logan and then persuades Delos to invest more. 6. No one besides the hosts and Ford ever met Arnold because they were not up and running yet and he was a recluse.

Oh one other thing in episode 1. When they approach the “sea” with the dead hosts Mailing says “the valley is just beyond the cliff right here.” It seems as though the “Dead Sea” is the valley beyond.

Thanks!
Megan F
