Arnold and the Maze

There’s a reason Ford asked Dolores how long since she had seen Arnold

Arnold fell in love with Dolores. That’s what Ford meant by “he thought they were real”

Dolores was involved in Arnold’s disappearance.

Possibly Ford programmed Dolores to kill Arnold. She didn’t do it and went against her programming.

Ford keeps her around to punish her and to try to find out if her gaining some sort of consciousness is why she didn’t kill Arnold.

The changes to the code that Ford made so Dolores could kill Arnold is what led to “the Incident”

Arnold is alive and hiding out somewhere on the landmass that is Westworld.

According to the I’itoi mythology The man in the maze is the creator. He lives underground and is responsible for bringing people to this earth from the underworld.
He’s also responsible for a series of commandments guiding people on how to interact with the world.

The maze is a real physical location and Arnold is at the center.

The maze is so no one can get to him because Ford still wants him dead.

Arnold has reprogrammed hosts to be his soldiers. That’s what Teddy encountered in the hills. Impervious Arnoldbots.

The Wyatt story-line is Ford’s attempt to fight Arnold. In the Host’s minds and eyes Arnold looks like Wyatt, they even have similarly themed backstories.

This plays into Christian Mythology where Ford is God, Arnold is Lucifer, Dolores is Eve and the fruit of knowledge is consciousness. As in the bible, God and Lucifer battles are ongoing. -Rick from Akron

Comment: Very nice observation. One key point, however, is that according to the Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi) myth is, I’itoi is one of two creators… however, he is NOT the original creator, but a usurper-creator!

    >>He lives underground and is responsible for bringing people to this earth from the underworld.
Comment: I’itoi brings forth a second set of people to deal with the first set who murdered him.

In order for the I’itoi myth to apply here, Ford (the second creator) would have to be the man in the maze. Is Arnold masquerading as Ford with the real Ford in the maze?
