Arnold Theory

Hi guys, love the podcast. I have a theory regarding Arnolds possible return. At the start of episode 6, Arnold is talking to Delores about the hosts becoming sentient, after he speaks for a while, Delores interrupts him, ‘No, He didn’t say that.’. Delores then says, ‘ This is a test, one we have done countless times.’ Barnard replies,’ What are you testing for?’. Delores Says ‘fidelity’. So from that, it is assumed that Delores is trying to bring back Arnold like William was trying to bring back Mr Delos. Delos was brought back 149 times and the research took 30 years, and they only made him last 30 days or so before the cognitive plateau. Now the theory; When Bernard enters the Cradle, the Cinematograph style changes, it is the same style as when Arnold is interviewing Delores on the first episode of season 2 and all the other times Delores and Arnold are in a room together in this season. I believe ford is trying to bring Arnold back, he is using Delores’s cradle copy to act as Arnold’s interviewer for the fidelity test. Now, finally the theory, my theory is that inside the cradle time occurs at a different rate; on the Delos website, it said the cradle is used for simulating the narratives. In order for the narratives to be tested thoroughly the simulation would have to be run 100,000’s of times, taking into account every variation that could take place in a narrative. If the simulation was run in real time, 1 second in real time = one second in the simulation, the simulations would take years to complete. However, if you run the simulation faster, like 1 second in real time equals 1 week in the simulation, then you could test the narratives much quicker. The hosts are programs, so I cant see why this would not be possible as long as you have enough compute power to run the simulation at that speed. Assuming that is true, I believe ford has been continuing the work of William, for immortality. Trying ‘countless’ times to bring Arnold back. From Williams work we know progress is slow. I believe that it may take ford many years to solve the problem, however due to the time dilation effect of the simulation, it could only be 2 weeks in real time before ford achieves the goal of bring Arnold back. Theory part 2, after bring back Arnold, ford uploads Arnolds mind to the Red Pearl, host brain, that Bernard got from the Delos laboratory. Ford then puts the pearl in the body he was printing in his lab, another Bernard/Arnold copy. Arnold is then put on the beach, where Bernard was found in episode 1 of season 2. That might be why Bernard is not acting right, it’s because he is not Bernard but Arnold after having been brought back by ford. The shock of being brought back has made him act strangely, because he is still trying to understand his new reality. I think the first part might be right but the second theory is probably not but I though it was worth sharing. Anyway, thinks for reading, I look forward to hearing your theories on the deep dive.
