Arnold’s Mind Is The IP Delos Is After

Another of my theories.

I now appreciate the irony of the conversation between Ford and Theresa during the lunch scene.

Ford was the money man before Delos. Season 2 Ep. 1 reveals this when William is trying to pitch the park to James Delos, and Delos refers to Ford as an investment banker.

It is now clear that Arnold was the sole inventor of the hosts, which is why he thought his death would put a permanent end to the park opening.

I bet the reason Ford was failing financially was he sunk all his remaining money into hiring Tech’s to try and replicate what Arnold built. When they repeatedly failed to repeat Arnold’s success, Ford started working on bringing Arnold back.

I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the information that Delos wants before they send a rescue team, is the uploaded consciousness of Arnold that Ford used to create Bernard.

Would explain Bernard’s reaction to gaining access to Abernathy’s mind in S2 EP.3, and why he rushes to download it. Ford isn’t needed to keep the park running, Arnold’s mind is.
