Arya – The Protector of The Realm
I know many may disagree by the way Arya was treated in this episode but I saw it differently and actually saw it as one of the key moments for her character. So far Arya’s journey has been about training to be the baddest bitch in town, but you have to ask, for what reason? Yes, she had her list but what happens when everyone on the list has been crossed off? Everyone she has ever killed or been involved in the killing was kind of a piece of shit, the Freys, Merryn Trant, the Night King etc. She has never seen the innocent, the helpless victimized by her god like that. I think the experience in this episode will give her that much-needed character motivation and a cornerstone to use her skills for something good, to protect the innocent. Establishing her as a protector of the realm would also come full circle to the season when she talks to Ned about not really being a lady and subscribing more to knightly values.
