Blade Runner & Westworld Architectural Connection
Hey Guys,
No theories here, I just wanted to point out a detail that really impressed me during the second episode of the second season.
Arnold’s house & Rick Deckard’s house are the same. The house itself is “Ennis House” by Frank Lloyd Wright. It utilizes his conceptual textile blocks. This house is one of the most recognizable architectural landmarks in cinema. Clearly this is a homage to the film that set the philosophical foundation for this series.
Again, no theories here. This show has so many layers to it I thought it was worth mentioning one more.
I’ve been a long time listener and love all of the podcasts you put out. Thanks for putting out a whopping 3 episodes per week. I imagine it is a lot of work and I definitely appreciate it.
Cheers,
Adam DB.

It’s the Millard House: https://www.seeing-stars.com/Locations/Westworld/ArnoldsHome.shtml
Hi there,
It’s not the Ennis House. It’s the Millard House in Pasadena actually! But I think there is definitely a connection the filmmakers are trying to make between Westworld and Blade Runner….
They do look a lot alike, but what do you make of the different pattern on the blocks?
