I had an ominous thought about where the “flies” scenario may be headed. If you remember from season 1, Delores tried to explain to Teddy how her daddy solved the problem on their ranch that involved the blue fly infestation of their cattle. Teddy mistakenly thought the solution was to cull the sick cattle from the herd and isolate the healthy ones. Delores explained that the real solution was to kill all the cattle and burn them so that the smoke would kill all the flies. Could this be the solution that Bernard is going to propose with the “secret weapon”? The way to kill the parasite is to kill all its hosts. This is not looking good for Caleb or the rest of the infected human herd.
