Bran + Sam = Victory over the Night King

After rewatching the season 7 finale, it hit me that Bran and Sam working together will be the key to the Great War with the Night King.

In their short scene together we were distracted by R+L=J and all that went with it. However I think a key detail from that scene was how easily Bran was able to discover the whole truth once Sam provided him with the info he found in the maesters personal diary.

We know Bran can see “everything” but is still learning.

We know Sam is the most knowledgeable of all the central characters and has access to tons of historical info.

They will combine make the ultimate informational weapon. Tidbits of history fed to Bran by Sam will help him to see through the haze of “everything” And focus on discovering the key to defeating the night king.

I predict this relationship will play a big role going forward in Season 8. Maybe to some this is so obvious it wasn’t worth saying. But the scene with those two was so short but held several layers to it and this was the layer that jumped out to me.
