Hello small council,

My name is Sarah and I am a millennial who has never listened to a single podcast. Ever. (Crazy I know) but I stumbled across your podcast in my search for everything GOT related and I have to say, I’m loving it!

I wanted to bring up a topic you guys spoke about this week. The idea that the current potential rulers of Westeros (Cersei and Daenerys) are inevitably bound to fall into the traps and pitfalls of their predecessors. There was an interesting moment in ep. 1 that was alarming to me. When Cersei and Jamie are discussing their plans and the topic of Tommen comes up Cersei uses the word “abandoned” to describe Tommen’s suicide. I thought it was a bit delusional on her part. Like she has completely lost touch with reality. The parallels between her and the Mad King are becoming hard to ignore in my humble opinion. The void of reality, the ability to burn the people to the ground without hesitation, etc. Is this a foreshadowing that her fate will too end by the hands of Jamie?

Also, lay off Jon Snow. He is a god damn national treasure and can do no wrong. Ever.

Thanks for the great insight these last few weeks. I’m loving it!
