But That Last Pearl

Hello again and thanks for continuing the podcasts.

So far I am hooked pretty well. I have no theory of where the story is headed, but the possibilities intrigue me. I always just hope we are headed somewhere satisfying with the plot.

Just a few observations:
Where, or in what, is the sixth pearl? I count Delores (prime), Charlores, Connelores, Musashilores, and Bernard. Charlores had five pearls in her purse when she left Westworld, which is six total including the one in her.

Was Musashilores trying to extract Maeve’s pearl just before the gang had to skedaddle? It looked an unsuccessful attempt, but it’s hard to tell.

The Man in Black is now the Man in White. And it looks like his gun-maimed hand didn’t get much better than 1880s medical attention until it finally had a glove on it after he was “committed.”

I think all the talk about free will is Westworld’s MacGuffin. It’s a device that motivates characters to move the plot along. The concept is really irrelevant in and of itself, mainly because it’s something we cannot know.

Just a few thoughts. Now for the last four episodes that critics did not get to preview. Let’s spin up that giant Rehoboam (son of Solomon, grandson of David, first king if the Kingdom of Judah) pearl and see what the future holds.
