Cersai Pregnancy

Hey Guys,

I know by this point this is already over an episode old, but I can’t get the thought out of my mind.

What if Cersai thought she was pregnancy, but instead she was going through menopause.

* We know from Season 3 Episode 5, her father points out that she is still fertile, as if that may not be obvious. What if what Cersai thought was a pregnancy (missing her period) turned out to be menopause sneaking up on her. * That would explain why she was sad when the topic of putting a “prince in her belly” was brought up. * That is why she gave up on Jamie and hired Bronn to kill him – because he failed to give her a child/a purpose. If she wanted to kill him, she would have had the mountain do it when he was walking away from her at the end of season 7 – she didn’t because she thought she was pregnant with his child. * Now, if she is going through the change, she can’t have another child. Thinking she was pregnant gave her hope that the Maggie the Frog wasn’t true, but now, she could think that there is still some validity to that prophecy – thus her need to get rid of her younger brothers (though I know that part of the prophecy wasn’t included in the show). * Also, it was Qyburn, who would have been the one to tell her that she was not actually pregnant- he is also the one she sent to buy Bronn’s services.

Nothing solid to my theory, but it just keeps bouncing around my head.
