Hey folks,
Thank you for the deep dive. Although ‘who the Hale…’ went down a very deep rabbit hole. I would hope that the hosts in the sublime really are beyond being tampered with by Dolores or anyone else. Ashley’s analysis of the poem ‘Keeping things whole’ was excellent, including how it ties into the episode. I would like to add though that I think it also refers to Serac. The only way that the Delos investigators are able to ‘find’ Serac or rather interpret his presence is by his absence. Charlotte’s assistant calls him a black hole. He isn’t observable, he is inferred by his affect on the virtual world. He leaves a trace by the very action of scrubbing away his digital footprint. I know most of you “cough”Gene”cough” are in the Serac is an avatar for Rehoboam camp, but I think he’s a human. And I also think he mistakenly believes he has any control over Rehoboam. It’s using RICO to do it’s dirty work. It found Dolores when the EMT’s hooked her up to the medical diagnostic and sent RICO mercenaries to get her immediately. Does Serac even know about that? Why does he need Maeve to hunt down Dolores? Can’t his software find her? She’s using a virtual assistant to book hotel rooms, call cars and motorcycles. Is she using a proxy? How is she hiding her movements from Rehoboam? Perhaps Serac and Rehoboam are not as united in their objectives as the show would have us believe. Thank you for the new options on Twitch. Video games aren’t my cup of tea, but the chats and discussions are lots of fun. Looking forward to ones in the future. Stay well.

You’ve got a great point here. Why would Serac need Maeve, if he were a program. Really, I question why he needs her at all, if he really is all powerful, as he appears right now. I think it will be interesting to see where the flaws are in his system or in him in the weeks to come.
