Dear everyone,

I’ve been wanting to write in for awhile. I discovered your podcast this year and listen every week! In so glad to have a podcast with real opinions and not just a play by play.

The theory I have which was kind of confirmed by the show runners is that the cradle is pretty much ” San junipero” for the hosts. Somewhere for them to live while thier bodies are not in use. I believe each time they die or are put into cold storage they are sent to this virtual world. In the article I read it said ” what happens to the hosts minds when their bodies are put into cold storage.” Its too valuable an asset to just seize to exsist. I believe the consciousness in that ball was ford and he had benard upload him into the cradle virtually becoming a part of the cradle. That is how he has continued to influence events in the park, such as communicating with William. I think that the man in black is very ill and perhaps the door that ford wants him to find is a way to upload his consciousness into the cradle, a place where all of the evil he has committed will not be important and a place to start over with Delores.
