Ending Full Circle

I know I’m probably silly sending this a few short hours before the next episode airs and likely proves me wrong but hear me out.

I feel like everything is going to end full circle with GRRMs bittersweet intention.

I think that after the battle for kings landing Cersei will be killed; whether by Jamie, Euron, Arya or Danearys I’m not sure but I reckon she will die and the city mostly destroyed.

I think Dany will have won the throne however on meeting her assumed destiny she realises that she has lost everyone she has ever loved and doesn’t want to remain in a land that doesn’t want her. I believe she may return east to where she grew up, perhaps settling to a quiet life in the House with a red door that she always longed for. Perhaps even with Dario for those who think he deserves an ending. Or perhaps just with her dragon, Drogon, until she dies and returns to her true love Drogo as his Khaleesi in the Night Lands In terms of her prophecy she would be ‘going back to move forward’ in her life. This may be bittersweet as we have followed her along rooting her to take the throne only for her to return west to live out her days.

I think Jon although having a claim for the throne he will abdicate and return north in a similar way to dany to live out his days in a quiet unassuming way. He has done his duty to the realm, even given his life, and now wants to return to the land he loves. Although the nights watch is perhaps unnecessary I think he will still want to return there and re build. Perhaps emerge himself amongst the wildlings alongside Ghost. Bittersweet as he has become such a strong leader but he has always been clear he doesn’t want it. Plus he’d be following the footsteps of his ancestor Maester Aemon in abdicating to live out a long life serving the realm from afar.

Sansa would be holding the north for the Starks as a strong lady of Winterfell.

In terms of the throne I think it may fall to the new lord Gendry. Meaning a Baratheon back in the throne. We know Arya will not be his queen but perhaps she will still be close to him by being an advisor. Perhaps even his hand? A stark hand to a Baratheon king Other advisors could be ser Davos who is another fleabottomer who has risen in height. He could create a more diplomatic realm as he is not a leader but keen for s unification and peace.

On a lesser note perhaps Sam can return to Horn Hill and uphold the Tarly seat.

The only difference I can see and to be honest like the sound of is Sansa being on the throne with the hound returning to his role of queens (kings) guard.

Also not sure how it will happen but I wanted to highlight that Varys was told by Melisandre that he will die in ‘this strange land’. Perhaps he will die at the hands of dany for treason. I think there might be a significance with the lord of light as the red woman back in Mereen made a point to say ‘remember what the voice in the fire said to him. Surely this voice is something he has carried with him his whole life and shaped his motives and destiny.

Anyway sorry for the essay. As I said this will probably all be proven wrong shortly!!
