Ford’s Ultimate Revenge On Arnold

Hey Guys,

Big fan of the podcast(s) though Big D hating spaceballs is very upsetting…Anyway, something that hasn’t been discussed is the animosity between Ford and Arnold. Most the characters we know are hosts, but it should be noted that the entire park is a result of a very HUMAN relationship between its creators. If you think about it, Arnold was a total dick to Ford. They were working on a project together and Arnold essentially went rogue and tried to create consciousness for the hosts. He embedded himself into their programming and as an ultimate test/proof he could accomplish that goal had Deloris kill him. I mean WTF! He basically left Ford holding the bag and said adios. I believe Ford created Bernard, not as an act of reverence, but rather revenge.

Forcing Arnold to live forever as a host is the ultimate payback. Ford’s “master plan” mirrors exactly what was done to him. Have Deloris kill him, then leave Bernard/Arnold to deal with the repercussions. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that man in Black took the instructions from young Robert, then shot him. Most likely Ford told him to eradicate any remaining code that kept him alive after the uprising. This is essentially the opposite of what Ford did to Arnold by creating multiple Bernards. AKA Ford deciding Arnold was right is total bs and this was really his great revenge. Best,
