Hey all,

Long time listener, first time e-mailer. I’ll try to keep it short.

I think that the control unit that Bernard had to pick up is Ford’s control unit. Human Ford knows everything going on in the park, and as such, knows that controlling a human brain in a host body is only stable for a short time. Ford has a secret working lab shown actively printing a host body in Season 1. Could Ford have used this “Host Ford” to tell the story at the banquet and ultimately start the host uprising while calmly controlling “The Game” for William in his lab? The Host Ford would have acted normally because it never thought that it was a clone.

What I think is going on is simply a game set up over a very long period of time for Ford to ultimately convince William that what is in the past cannot change. See this quote:

Even I fell into the most terrible of human traps…Trying to change what is already past. Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins), Westworld, Season 1: Trace Decay That certainly could directly address the idea of everlasting life ie: the Jim Delos experiment. I wouldn’t put it past Ford to have created that “Cognitive Plateau” either…just to slow down the progress of the Delos experiment.

Not sure, has my head spinning…but I think Ford is alive and fully in control.

Looking forward to your thoughts.
