Here’s a quick thought: in season one, Ford tells Bernard that Mozart and some of the other great musicians never died, they became music (or lived on in their music…I don’t remember the exact line). Then the Ghost Nation guy in season two episode four tells Stubbs that a person only lives as long as people remember him.

I think this is another hint that Ford is either still alive (either as host or human) or that he is living in the hosts (beyond just having the hosts say things on command).

Can’t wait for the deep dive episode today!!
