MIB Is Dying + Other Theories
Hey guys-
Really love the podcast. You have great chemistry and have some brilliant thoughts that often underscore my own. I typically try to watch each episode 3 times to catch everything and sometimes another after hearing you guys.
Had a theory without a ton of rigor but I’ve discovered slight nods to the fact MiB is dying and this is literally his ‘last ride’.
3 Key Reasons
- He mentions in the first episode that he’s ‘never going back – ‘assumedly’ because he’s going to find what’s in the maze and discover eternal life or some sort.
- In the bar scene with Ford and Teddy, Ford punts a few of MiB’s questions; noticing that there’s a newfound anxiousness in the MiB that is new to his character; that finding the maze as quick is possible is paramount.
- In jail scene with Hector, he mentions it usually takes 3 days for someone to come rescue villains like him and “he doesn’t have the time”
Other Theories
- MiB has a foundation that deals/creates synthetic human organs that have saved tons of tons of lives (per the interaction with the guests whose throat he threatens to slit). I think this must have came about after he ‘saved the park’ all those years ago and got stock, technology etc and used it for the ‘real world’. My thought is that part of his body is maimed or burned and he is partially synthetic or android like (hence we not seeing his skin outside of his face-a theory you’ve brought up once or twice). The ‘accident’ 35 years ago.
- Maeve will bring Armistice, Hector and others to the lab(after all dying at once) and stage a coup, killing a large chuck of staff until they get shut down or decommissioned at the end of the season. Maeve is a fan favorite and it wouldn’t HBO unless they killed someone we love.
Thanks guys, curious if you have similar thoughts. – Chris from LA

Great ideas I’d had the same thoughts with the synthetic organs, and MIB want to whats inside of Ford if he cut him open. Likely MIB organs have been prolonging Fords life.
