Hi,

My name is Daniel and I’m from Perth, Western Australia. Love your work, especially the deep dives and hearing your in-depth opinions and how everything has gone down.

I’ve been convinced of how the show is going to end for about 2 Seasons now. It’s just been a matter of how it was going to come about. With the latest developments, the picture is clearer though there are still a few different scenarios that I can see unfolding.

In a nutshell, this is what I see happening. The Iron Throne is going to either be dismantled or melted by dragon fire. Whilst the major arc of the show has been about who is going to sit in the Iron Throne it has also been about “breaking the wheel”. I see the throne being destroyed and in its place, a ruling council made up of key figures of Westeros.

Jon Snow is clearly unhappy with the way things have unfolded with Daenerys at King’s Landing. I can’t see any scenario where he meekly falls into line with somebody who so brutally slaughtered innocents and a surrendering force. Somehow she is going to be dragged right back down to reality, whether that be through being killed or Jon pursuing his claim to the throne. Jon clearly does not want to rule, just as Ned Stark didn’t want to the throne after the Rebellion, the difference, of course, being that he may not have much of a choice. The solution I see him most comfortable with is a council made up of people such as himself, Sansa, Tyrion, Yara and heads of other major Houses in Westeros to rule with a steady hand and a level head. No one person who can go mad with power and decimate the Seven Kingdoms in the process.

Whether Daenerys has a seat at this table remains to be seen.

Looking forward to seeing how this all goes down next week.

Keep it up, guys.
