Hey Big D, & Gene,

Long time listener here of both your Shat on TV and Shat on Movies podcasts. This will be first time ever writing to you guys in over 3 years of listing just to say.

I hated this episode! I am messaging you guys directly after I listened to you Instancast on my daily morning commute and I have to say I think you guys were way to ease on this episode. Y’all were talking about the purpose the Whites severed was to bring everyone together for a purpose. I think it was the opposite it was more to figure out how to kill Dany’s army so Cersi even had a chance. This cheapened the whole series for me. The series of Game of Thrones has been religiously preaching that the throne did not matter if everyone was dead. John fucking Snow spent all of season 7 brooding on a high hill saying this. They made it seem like the Night King was the true fight, but instead 8 seasons of build up to this. A dark dingy 20 min opening were no one without an OLED tv with the contrast and brightness turned to 100 million could see what was going on. The random ohh did you almost see that person die moments. The terrible battle plan that no one follows. I think I remember them talking about killing White walkers, but it appears that they would rather charge at an army of the dead with stupid fucking flaming swords than follow a real battle plan, and the worst of all. The killing of the Night King he could not have died in a more stupid way short of Theon grabbing his leg as he holds the Night King back for John to come stab him. Actually this would have been a better ending that what they gave us. After 8 seasons we got a guy walking slowly to a cripple boy and getting stabbed by someone jumping out of no where. I felt like I was watching an AMC tv show instead of a HBO show. That being said I love you guys, and I cant wait to hear you take on the deep dive.

PS – Gene can we get a full game of thrones cry count. I have to know.
