Hey Guys,

Please discuss Tyrion. What is going on with him? Why does Varys get burnt but Tyrion does not? Then Tyrion goes right out and betrays his queen again by freeing Jaime. I am done with giving him chances. I can’t help but feel like he is to blame for Daenerys’ weakened position.

The little girl that Varys was using at the beginning of the episode. I assume he was going to use her to poison Daenerys…should we assume she still will? Do you think any of those letters that Varys was writing made it out? Who was he sending them to? Dorne?

The look on Jon’s face when he realized that Sana sucks at keeping secrets. 2 decades her father keeps a secret. Jon didn’t even arrive at Kings Landing and half the realm knew. I really cannot stand Sansa or trust her ever since she bet against her own family in the first season when she lied to protect Joffrey and lost Lady. I would hope she gets what is coming to her but something tells me she won’t.

Daenerys is not “mad”
Is Daenerys really a mad Queen? Think about what she has done and what has been done to her. I do not think she is mad. She sat there on Drogon, looking around after her “win” realizing she has nothing to really be happy about. She lost two children, her boyfriend, half her army, her confidante and realized she’s pretty much just alone in the world. As Whitney Houston said, “what’s the sense of trying hard to find your dreams, without someone to share it with, tell me what does it mean?” I think she made a decision to burn parts of Kings Landing down and she told them before they will know whom to blame when the sky falls down on them. Also, do we really care about these people? I know that sounds bad but these people suck. Look at how they treated Cersei when she walked the path of atonement, look at how they cheered for the execution of Ned Stark, literally the most honorable man ever. These people are sheep. I had no empathy for them. I think the directors wanted us to feel something for them by using Jon and Arya’s perspective. But nope, still felt nothing. I also had no empathy for the soldiers who sat there sipping summer cocktails while the northern armies literally saved humanity and at great cost. Maybe Daenerys felt the same way. I think using the term “mad” denotes that her decisions are not based on reason or she doesn’t know what she is doing. I think everything she did was for a reason. I think she is emotional, she has always been that way. It’s just that there are different ways she can choose to express that emotion. Also, let us not forget that Drogon has a mind of his own and emotions to match and those motherfu*** killed his brother. I am sure his energy feeds into his momma and vice versa.

Also, we should have known that the mother of dragons didn’t come to play when she matched her dress to Drogon’s colors.

Also, I never thought those scorpions were going to do much against a dragon if a little strategy was employed. Apparently, it takes a lot to reload them and also aim them at a moving target…especially a target who is aware of them.

Arya is not undone
On the Instacast, Dick you said that Arya appears to be coming undone. She is not! If anything she is becoming a more well-rounded assassin (if there is such a thing). The Hound told her to leave unless she wants to become him. Who the hell wants to become the Hound? Does she want to let vengeance define her and ultimately lead to her death? I think at that moment, Arya showed that she is Arya Stark of Winterfell, a badass assassin and a person who does not want to die seeking out vengeance. Especially when its obvious Cersei ain’t getting out of there alive. I think this was a tender moment between Arya and the Hound and she genuinely appreciated his wisdom and her evolution allowed her to do so…flash back several seasons and Arya would have been too headstrong and stubborn to listen. Now she knows better. She’s wiser and has more depth to herself then we give her credit for… Also, this slightly reminds me of Brienne and Jaime. Just because a woman cries does not mean she’s weak. Honestly, I think Brienne was crying because she knew that Jaime was not going to survive and she wanted him to stay and be safe with her.

Clegane Bowl:
A little underwhelming but ultimately a satisfying conclusion. Can you tell us why did the mountain totally ignore his queen and Qyburn’s commands? Are we to assume he actually has some autonomy? It was very strange and funny. I love how Cersei slid out of there like…” this ain’t none of my business.”

Keep up the great work, you guys are my favorite GOT podcast! Please discuss your predictions for the endgame.
