Gendry Baratheon, Newly Legitimized Lord of Storm’s End

Hello!!

Please note the time stamp of this email… I just had this thought at 5:45pm on Sunday the 12th.

I watched the 45 minute Game of Thrones Conquest and Rebellions dvd that was complementary with Season 7 dvd set. It tells of the history of the Targaryen line and how they came to Westeros, established Dragonstone and conquered the Seven Kingdoms. I was surprised to learn that Orys Baratheon came from Essos with Aegon and was suspected to be his bastard half-brother. He became the founder of House Baratheon after he slew the last of Storm King, Argilac and married his daughter, taking over Storm’s End.

It was interesting to me that the Baratheon line was given a Lordship and essentially “legitimized” by Aegon Targaryen, only to have Orys’ ancestor, Robert Baratheon become the downfall of the Targaryen line (with Jaime Lannister’s help of course). Wouldn’t it be a surprising turn of events if Gendry Baratheon, newly legitimized Lord of Storm’s End by Daenerys, was ultimately the downfall of the Targaryen line??? What if there arises some circumstance in this upcoming episode in which Gendry has to kill Daenerys??!!! History would repeat itself as we have seen time and again on this show. Even if this doesn’t happen, I believe that Gentry’s ancestry as a Baratheon and a Targaryen may mean that he will be sitting on the Throne at the end of the series! If there is a throne remaining after this next episode, that is.

I also don’t believe we have seen the end of Ghost and Tormund. I have a terrible feeling that there is something big that is going to go down in the North while the battle is happening in the South. Maybe Bran becomes the new Night King? Maybe there are more White Walkers or wights beyond the wall that have worked their way down?? I’m not sure what but I am theorizing that Ghost will have one last big moment this season!!

Just some last minute theorizing before the show.

Can’t wait for the episode and look forward to your podcasts this week!
