Hi again from Sydney Australia,

Sorry to use this as my sounding board. I don’t mind if you don’t publish but I just need a place to write down what I am thinking! I sent an email thinking that MIB is an AI but I have changed my thinking.

I am not sure if this has been flagged because I haven’t listened to your telegraph post (which I love BTW) but… I previously thought that MIB was already a host but now I think that the MIB is going to become a host. I think he will get killed and re-emerge as Young William with his MIB consciousness uploaded.

I just can’t get past the fact that he wants to be killed and I am sure that there is a connection with Teddy. This may just be a rivalry thing for the future. It could be that Ford is in on this and that it is the body of Young William being created in the basement.

That might be why Ford said he had other plans and was going to celebrate. It might be why he wasn’t too bothered about Arnold because he has a better model coming in the form of William. Obviously MIB’s motivation is that he wants to be with Delores. If you want a connection to Mythology then you have the story of Gilgamesh who experienced grief for the first time (think Maeve with her daughter) then faced his own mortality.

He goes on a quest, meets some people who had survived a great flood and then was offered – not eternal life – but rejuvenation. It doesn’t end there and that is a very brief summary but it certainly sounds familiar. Okay – trying to keep it short.
