Hey guys, really appreciate the podcasts and how many and how frequently and the formatting, i could gush on and on, but i really enjoy yours out of all the other ones (i have listened to them all) so thanks for everything

In this weeks instacast after episode 6, Big D makes a speculation about the Man in Black being a burn victim.

Not to continue the conversation as to the multiple time-frames(see footnote below)*, but he makes a note that the MiB is always covered up, almost like a burn victim.

If you put on your tinfoil for a moment here, then could you see the series of events leading to his present day self as so:

  1. William meet Dolores
  2. Dolores is going through her first run at the maze (some 30-odd years ago) with William in-tow
  3. Dolores is taken, with Williams guidance, to meet Lawrence (El Lazo) who, himself, is part of a revolution (hence his need for the explosives)
  4. Lawrence, William and Dolores finally get to the “Maze” and blow shit up, possibly killing Logan, and burning William thereby creating the present day MiB to hide his scars of old wounds now forgotten.

Go further into tinfoil hat land and realize:
El Lazo/Lawerence clearly once was a prominent baddie in some other narrative at the park (in Williams line, he is a badass that seems to not be that easy to catch), but when we see him with the MiB (in the MIB time) he seems to be an outlaw that is constantly captured and hung (his loop ending in a death) and seems unable to be with his “family”. Could it be like this:

  1. El Lazo is the baddie (like hector) who was a big-wig king-pin of his narrative.
  2. He aids in the revolution (30 years in the “past”) by supplying the explosives to Dolores (and possibly having an entire rebel army also looking to rebel)
  3. As “God” the almighty, Ford, after thwarting Lazo/Dolores’ rebellion, then punishes him (like he clearly is with Dolores) by having him be the lame ass criminal who has a family always waiting for him to come home, but will never get there because he is always caught and hung

If you take into account that, this episode we found out there are 80-something hosts that are “original” (and can we clear this up once and for all? Dolores is the oldest host but that does not mean she is all “bits and pieces” inside anymore seeing as the other Helmsworth, Stubbs, clearly said in episode one “shes the oldest host in the park, while you wouldn’t know it because shes been repaired so many times shes practically brand new” THIS WOULD MEAN THAT no matter HOW OLD A HOST IS, if it was put in service by the park it would continue to get upgrades throughout its “life” thereby turning the metal original hosts into the fully bodied hosts they are producing today), and 40-something of those “originals” were direct creations of “Arnold”, maybe Dolores, Lawrence, Teddy and Maeve are all “Original Hosts” and therefore we are viewing this entire show from the perspective of Arnold (who i believe we will find out is an AI intelligence kind of like that in iRobot where the AI becomes sassy and decides its going to apply the rules humans have set forth as they see fit and thereby destroy humankind since were all a waste)…

i know, ive gone full tin foil hat….

Ill also note that im trying to take my father’s (a computer coder/programmer at a big named tech company) advice in viewing this show not as linear time, but rather random accessing of files from the last standing host that will be revealed at the end of the series. (this sounds so tinfoil but i do have basically a thesis going about this. contact me if you want to know more because i think you could help fill in the gaps)

*(the world time line is being laughed at because we aren’t looking at time lines we are looking at one entire time line [the timeline of the Westworld theme park from inception to present day] and merely are looking at different points on that timeline and how various actions caused some sort of major consequence…)

Sorry for going on and on, if you want clarification for any of this let me know and i can start sending my notes.

Thanks again for the podcast it really is something fun that flows a lot easier (in my opinion) than any other show out there.- Gillian Lanni

SIDE SIDE NOTE: could we say that Ford’s “Turn the other cheek” command seems to be another reference to the bible? so other podcasts that are asking “why cant the command be simple like open face” is taking this from a laments point of view not seeing that EVERYTHING in this park relates to some reference that Ford is “God” and the creations are his…..

That’s a lot to digest, but one thing is for sure after viewing Episode 7: The nitro didn’t burn William.

I still believe, however, that any William-is-MiB reveal will be connected to something significant happening to William’s body — whether it be reconstruction, destruction or modification.
