A question about Brienne’s knighting. I believe this was the first time we see Brienne ever smile. She’s always been a serious, brooding character. But on the eve of potential death, she beams from ear to ear. I don’t recall ever seeing her smile. Is that an accurate observation?

Also, any chance that Theon and Sansa end up together? Their mutual suffering at the hands of Ramsey give them a unique bond. Plus her having been repeatedly raped and his having been cruelly castrated would make sex equally abhorrent to them both. Perhaps theirs is a match made in shared versions of hell?

Finally, you mentioned this on the quick cast, but I want to make mention of the show’s brilliance when it comes to our cheering for truly despicable characters. Jaime is so profoundly sympathetic now, and he was so loathed in the first few seasons. Theon was a perverted doof, but now he is working on his own brand of heroism. The Hound is a real mo-fo, but we can’t wait for him to kick some wight and Mountain ass. Similarly, we have all loved Dani for years, but the show is making me question her ability to rule in a non- Mad Queen way. Just remarkably done, and truly a pleasure to watch.
